Would you explain a brief history for establishing PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia?
“Our company PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia is a subsidiary of WILO SE Group (headquartered in Germany), which was established in 2008 in South Jakarta. WILO Group itself has been established since 1872 in Dortmund, Germany, founded by Caspar Ludwig Opländer which was originally a copper and brass factory called Kupfer- und Messingwarenfabrik Louis Opländer”.
Could you elaborate the core business of PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia, is it as a pump manufacturer in Indonesia or as the sole distributor of its parent company in Germany?
“PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia is a subsidiary of WILO Group in Germany, as well as a pump manufacturer holding the principal of WILO Group, which serves the needs of various customers in Indonesia. PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia has several official distributors which assist to market Wilo pumps in Indonesia and has several service partner networks throughout Indonesia.
The head office of PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia is located at Altira Business Park, Block A01-A07, Sunter Jaya, North Jakarta. PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia has several branch offices, namely in Palembang (South Sumatra), Surabaya (East Java), Balikpapan (East Kalimantan), and a site office in South Kalimantan”.
How is the role of PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia in the development of the pump & pumping system industry in Indonesia?
David Haliyanto explained “Our principal, WILO Group in Germany, considers Indonesia to be a prospective market for industrial pumps, considering the great needs of the mining, agricultural, and other industries. PT. Wilo Pumps Indonesia is currently fully committed to innovating in developing various products to meet customer needs.
As part of efforts to support the Indonesian Government’s regulations regarding the Domestic Component Level (TKDN), our company is striving to increase local production and ensure that the products meet the TKDN standards set. This is in line with the Government’s goal of increasing the contribution of local industry to the national supply chain”.
